Michael Schindelegger receives Karl Rinner Award

Dr. Michael Schindelegger from the research area Advanced Geodesy is this years' recipient of the Karl Rinner Award of the Austrian Geodetic Commission. This award, acknowledging outstanding international scientific contributions by young researchers, honors Michael Schindelegger's work on Earth rotation and ocean tides. The awarded paper "The Global S1 Tide in Earth's Nutation" can be read here.

He received the award on 17 October 2017 at the BEV (Bundesamt für Eich- und Vermessungswesen, Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying) and presented an overview of his achievements in a ceremonial talk.
